This vintage German tin box was made by Schumann, a renowned producer of gingerbread tins in Nurnberger, Germany and is circa 1960's.
The top and bottom of the tin was painted white by someone to obviously obscure the advertisement and the info about the contents (please see pictures). There is also some rust on the edges consistent with age.
